Evidence method

How Pretium Verum evaluates an offer

A recommendation should be explainable from current evidence, not from the size of a commission or the appearance of a large sale badge.

1. Match the exact item.Market, model, variant, capacity, colour, condition, and seller context must agree.
2. Verify the offer.Price, currency, availability, shipping eligibility, evidence time, and source permissions must be known.
3. Build price context.Advertised savings remain separate from a verified reference price, tracked history, and landed cost.
4. Expose uncertainty.Stale, incomplete, conflicting, or unsupported evidence is withheld or clearly limited.
5. Rank independently.Organic deal quality must not improve because one merchant pays more commission.

PV True Price and “Why This Is a Deal”

PV True Price is the project's evidence standard, not a promise that every displayed amount is the final checkout total. A usable comparison needs the exact variant, current amount, currency, country, availability, delivery context, evidence time and a permitted source. “Why This Is a Deal” must identify both the supporting evidence and what remains unknown.

Freshness, provenance and country

Price and availability can change quickly. Each production claim must carry its source, market and last successful verification time. A global listing is not silently treated as South African stock, and an unavailable or stale fact is withheld rather than filled with an estimate.

Affiliate transparency

Commercial relationships are evaluated separately from product evidence. An approved link may be labelled and monetized, but it cannot manufacture product facts, change the exact-match decision or buy a better organic position.

Current limitation

The public pre-launch experience provides the method and browser-based worksheets without live retailer data. No production-calibrated score, retailer recommendation or personalized buy verdict is offered.
