Pretium Verum is a South African, owner-operated shopping-comparison and deal-discovery project built to separate advertised discounts from evidence about price, exact product identity, availability, shipping and deal quality.

What the service is for

The intended service helps shoppers compare exact product variants and country-eligible offers. Pretium Verum adds an independent evidence layer: it checks the basis of a price claim, explains uncertainty and keeps provenance visible instead of merely reproducing a merchant listing. Checkout, payment, fulfilment, returns and warranties remain with the selected third-party retailer.

What exists today

The pre-launch site provides original shopping guidance and browser-based decision tools. It does not publish live products, prices, retailers, ratings, stock, price history, scores, earnings, or traffic counters as shopping claims.

Ownership, commissions and independence

This owner-operated project is run in South Africa by Marcel Wessel Brummer, a sole proprietor trading as Pretium Verum. Future approved affiliate relationships may earn a commission when a shopper follows a disclosed link and completes a qualifying action with a retailer. Commission must never secretly improve organic ranking.
